Show Jumper Danielle Goldstein: the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival’s First Recipient of  the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award

Wellington, FL (January 20, 2015)— International show jumper Danielle Goldstein became the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival’s first recipient of the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award, presented during week one of the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival (January 7- 11). The United States and Israeli dual citizen, who competes for the Israeli flag, was given the award in recognition of her mount Waliba VDL’s excellent body condition. Goldstein competed Waliba in two Schooling Jumper- 1.15m classes during the first week of the festival.

Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals Inc., a leader in developing natural equine products through research-based science, will present the Healthy Horse Award six times at both the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival and the 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival. As the first winner, Goldstein received a commemorative ribbon and prize bucket filled with Omega Alpha products. The company is a proud sponsor of both major event series, and is looking forward to promoting equine health over the next twelve weeks of competition.

“The Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award is given to a horse that exudes good health through proper muscling; a healthy, shiny coat; and a good attitude in its performance— which reflects good internal health,” explains Patti Hanco, Director of Business Development for the equine division of Omega Alpha. The selection committee was impressed by the robust appearance and vigorous performance of Waliba VDL, which made the mare stand out against the competition.

The secret to keeping her horses healthy and fit, Goldstein says, is giving them extensive exercise. “I like to get them out of their stalls multiple times a day — for the treadmill, trail rides, hand walking… anything to get them as fit as possible and ready for competition.”

Goldstein’s natural approach to equine health makes her a perfect match for Omega Alpha, which has specialized in natural formulations for enhancing equine health and performance for more than twenty years. The company offers a wide selection of award-winning products created using botanical ingredients, including supplements for respiratory, digestive, joint, hormonal, and immune health as well as products for detoxification, muscle rehabilitation, endurance, and performance.

Goldstein says she is excited to try the herbal supplements she won with all of her horses. After the competitions in Wellington draw to a close, she plans to return to the Europe to train for the European Championships. Goldstein, who laid down a world class ride at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games last September in France knows what it takes to compete at the sport’s tops levels, “I am working hard to have myself in top riding form for the European Championships and have my horses in the best health and condition, so this was the perfect time to be introduced to the Omega Alpha products. I am grateful to Omega Alpha for this award and look forward to trying these products. I have heard so many good things about the line”, Goldstein added. This week was a promising start to another ambitious year for Goldstein, and the products she received from Omega Alpha will undoubtedly help her horses retain their excellent health for upcoming shows in the U.S. and across the European continent.
